Without a doubt, we’re in interesting times. Luckily, Saturn in Aquarius helps us see the bigger cosmic dance. At the time of writing this, the world is sheltering in place, economies are wobbling, many are unemployed, people are dying. And, human kindness is presenting itself in beautiful ways, we’re attending to our neighbors and families, the environment is coming back into harmony as pollution clears and fish come back to uninhabited waters, we’re collectively slowing down and showing up with huge heart.
We’re being asked to hold the tension of light and dark.
It’s a time of consciousness shifting, structure and foundation shifting all on the personal and collective (as well as the internal and external) levels.
Overall, we’re being called to trust, to surrender, to vision and stand up for what’s no longer serving–and how we want to move forward in more aligned ways.
It’s a time to dance with the mystery.
In the sky, Saturn recently moved into Aquarius after being in Capricorn for approximately 3 years. When he moves, the energetic intention of what we’re building, creating, and doing on the mundane level, moves along with him.
We’re coming out of a period of focus on good old fashioned work, putting our power into long standing institutions, and focusing on the individual. Now, with Aquarius, we’re moving into something fresh, creative, outside the box, with a focus on the collective.
Aquarius asks us to look at what’s been put on us by conditioning, structure, societal and familial patterning, to quest for what’s uniquely our own, while being of service for others and the community.
With Saturn in Aquarius, where have we outgrown our work, our roles, or perhaps our self-created containers such as the rules, habits, and ways of being we’ve agreed upon for ourselves? What doesn’t fit any longer? Is there a new vision that can be created?
Aquarius is connected to air, which is connected to intellect, flowing ideas, paradigms we hold individually and collectively. Saturn is connected to karma, maturity over time, building things one brick at a time. With Saturn in Aquarius, we have the opportunity to build something new based on fresh ideas. We’re moving from the density of earth, where Saturn has been, to the lightness of air.
This is a revolutionary time. This placement is only one piece of a beautiful, challenging, intense, transformative cosmic dance right now.
Be gentle with yourself. Allow your imagination to float a bit and lead you somewhere new. Saturn in Aquarius asks us, what structures can you put in place that feel fresh, unique, aligned to your energy and expression? What would be nourishing and exciting?
With the CoronaVirus, we’re reminded in a powerful way how deeply interconnected we all are. When we make different choices, there’s a ripple effect (energetically and materially).
- Let’s re-vision.
- Let’s connect to truth.
- Let’s connect to individual expressions that allow for each other to show up fully as their uniquely expressed self.
I realize this can feel a little abstract. Remember the work is always working us, and we actually don’t have to try that hard.
If you’re feeling called to explore some of these questions, turn your attention to what’s naturally showing up in your life that’s asking for your attention. Journaling can be helpful, the same with dreamwork, and any other number of ways you may like to do this type of work.
This placement is taking us into new and creative territory that we may not have a map for quite yet. We all have the opportunity to approach our experience from a fresh perspective. Allow yourself to be led by your own innate creatively vibrant self.
