I believe that no matter who you are, you are innately creative. This is the same energy that pumps blood through your veins, allows you to breathe deeply, to think, to love, to regenerate body and mind.
It’s the stuff of daily life that accumulates in our systems that make us feel blocked, insecure, and doubtful of our own ability. It builds up over time, and before we know it, it can become internalized as belief, impulse, or as normal.
This buildup is the fuel of imposter syndrome, of self-doubt, of not trusting ourselves, and of a slew of resistance that keeps us stagnant.
Although the gunk feels real, painful even, it’s not who we are.We are naturally creatively abundant. Part of being human is exploring this part of ourselves in the world.Click To Tweet
The reason you’re reading this is because there’s something within you coming forward. You may have inklings of what it is when falling asleep, while driving or in the shower. You may be able to put it to words–or are already working on it–or it might just be a feeling or knowing at this point.
Regardless of where we’re at in the process, the gunk inevitably shows up. We have to figure out how to navigate it.
Often it makes sense to push through or to face it head-on. However, sometimes it can be helpful to approach the process from a different angle.
Instead, we can take a stance of allowing. Putting dukes down. Surrendering to the truth of who we are.
This might look like asking yourself, “what wants to come through?” Journaling. Sitting in meditation. Laughing with a good friend and then putting pen to paper.
Connecting to this feminine way of doing things is so helpful, especially in such a doing world.Remember we are human beings, rather than human doings.Click To Tweet
However, this process isn’t always easy. It can feel counterintuitive or vulnerable. Resistance puts up a fight when we surrender.
You must remember you are worthy and have something to offer. The calling you feel exists for a reason. It wants to be birthed through you–because of your unique expression.
So, the next time you’re feeling down, not enough, needing some love or struggling to create, put your hand on your heart and feel it beat. Feel the blood move through your veins, the regeneration of cells deep in your marrow. This is creative abundance and power. This is the truth of who you are.
